how is it 47-48? The 2 highest either say no compromise or that itw as implemented badly. Either way that means it had better be fixed.

In terms of Like & Dislike, he's pretty accurate.

While I would prefer to just do PvP, it is not always possible due to the high level of organization required for 8v8 matches. Therefore I don't understand why ANet is trying to prohibit me to spend my free from PvP gaming time farming?

I would not say it's geared towards runners, but enables more people to be runners, if not everyone to just run themselves.

They're not trying to prohibit you, unless you've got ebay shops(or anything similar) set up.

The idea is right, stop letting other people make real life cash off of the game, but they hurt the players. They'll realize it soon enough and change something, if not they're going to have an upset community on their hands.

On another note, I wouldn't mind having the henchies have better AI, because they are after all just replacements for other Players.
You know, not having Orion cast the AOE right when any member of the party can just hit space bar and kill the last of a group of monsters, or lure the monster in My AOE out of it. Not rez me over and over when I keep getting one hit in the middle of a huge mob of monsters.

Terms of dislike and like, it's Dislike 222 vs Like 44, with 12 abstaining, currently.

hey, at least they havent nerfed Presearing yet...thats the only aspect of the game yet to be ruined. if you dont agree, let me go threw everything that has been nerfed beond recognition...
1. EVERY farming spot/chest from Runes of Surmia to Maguuma Stade to Droks to Hells Precipice to UW/FoW.
2. Just about every skill has been changed, the largest would be Prot Bond (i do agree it had to be changed, but it was still nerfed)
3. Weapon value. Greens, need i say more?
4. Farming has been nerfed (mainly 55 build)
5. Echo ______ (AoE related) has been nerfed, Meteor Shower is now the most pointless skill in to game, followed closely by Retribution.
6. Dunno, i just spent a lot of time naming stuff, fill in the blank.

Non-Nerfed things
1. Presearing (excluding dye drops, which were at one point probably nerfed)
2...there is no 2, they nerfed everything but Presearing, Congrats ANet for ruining a great game.

One thing I'm sick of people saying is that all other players that used AoE spells should just change their build. Or, I use this, why don't you? Well, why should anyone change a build they like just because an update ruined it? Why should everyone now avoid using AoE spells because an update ruined them? If that's the case, a new update should come a delete all AoE spells now, hell, why not. LETS DIG OURSELVES DEEPER!!!

The point I'm trying to make is that Anet has tried time & time again to eliminate Solo monks. Why? Cause you didn't count on your customers being smart enough to find a build like this? I can understand making it harder once, but this is like the 3rd time that they have gone out of thereway on an update that was meant purely to eliminate this build. nerfing prot bond dint work. Adding the dying nightmares didnt work. Both of these updates didn't mess with anyone elses gamestyle except the solo monks. But this 3rd attempt has devastated most everyone else & to go this far just off a grudge against the solo monks is abuse of power. Don't hurt other peoples playing styles just to so you can fix something in the game that you screwed up when making it a year ago.

& one last question. Why hate solo monks? How does solo monking hurt anyone else? Is it really worth dedicating your time to just winning some petty grudge?

The "change" flat out blows!I guess thats the problem with totaly online games-constant change. This will No Doubt cut my playing hours in half.If only Socom 3 was good, I would have something else to Play. I'am going back to Daiblo 2-NOT.

Change the GAME back to FUN mode OR loose all you're players/supporters

If you think about it, monsters are starting to act like players, when they get hit by an AoE, they run away like little chickens. I think they are increasing the difficulty and the less requirement of each profession type to play. Since the only eles in PvE are Nukers, they are attempting to throw in Earth, Water, and Aero eles in it.

thanks for the poll

i don't really mind most of the updates all that much but really just the aoe effect one. i heard from fellow guildies about how even barrage and ignited arrows make mobs run away O_O it's hard enough for a ranger to use those ignited arrows and now after ONE shot of impact they all run away..... WOW just WOW....... that's kinda wrong >_<

if they want to make the monsters be smarter, at lease have a 5 second "retarded" delay so that aoe will have some sort of effect.

Reality Check:

Assume that as a real life flesh and blood person you were engaged in mortal combat with an enemy bent on killing you and stomping on your corpse. Now, during said combat you suddenly realise that fire is raining down upon you. How fast would you react to this new threat? I willing to bet most people would take several seconds to react, figure out what was happening and decide on the best course of action. So ....... there goes the "reality" theory.

BTW .... how many of you WOULD run away if you saw a monk healing himself?

What if you got together like 4 warriors who casted a AoE spell and use it as a "barrier" on a choke point, then have rangers unload barrage on your enemies.. do they run THROUGH the AoE.. or just stand their like a mountain is in the way?

The "Fun Factor" is the most important part of any game.If "it" is gone, sudden update that changes you're [my] favorite charr to the point of Pre searing-then this is not the game for me.

Goodbye Guild Wars[ what a waste of my time] DONE

I addition to this, how many of you would stay and fight, hoping to get that one throat slash in that would kill your enemy, before he moves on from your corpse, and kills the rest of your family, your wife and children.

That's good, I gotta edit that to my other posts.

The monk part is just funny, yeah, I get mugged, and my throat is slashed, and I just begin healing myself. If I were the mugger, I'd run my ass off.

This update stinks. I just got into farming in Grenth's Footprint, mainly to get a specific green weapon set... I have the focus, and have yet to get the wepaon, mainly because farming has become so bloody tedius. The idiot dwarves now run away all the time, even from the tinyest thing, and they have my party scrambling all around trying to get that last hp knocked off so we can focus on the bosses. It's annoying and makes all these lvl 24 things look like a bunch of cowards.

Also Cynn is pretty much useless now, as is Orion. They might as well just delete them and replace them with new henchies that are Air-Only.

Pretty much sums it up. Monsters should not stand in AoE, but neither should they scatter from Cry of Frustration.

OK, alot of you are adding your 2 cents, without reading the previous posts.
It's getting annoying.

If you're not going to read, just vote. If you're going to post, read, so that you get all your points of view that apply. Maybe they're even something you might agree with but haven't thought of yourself.

Put the word please wherever appropriate in the above....thank you.

What I can say about this game is if you were going for realism with this update , Reguardless of armour, reguardless of skills, My Righteous Maul+your face=Big mess on the sidewalk. No, the game has structure, rules of nature are bent for the purpose of backbone and structure. Warriors are supposed to be like rocks that take damage. Elementalists are supposed to put out the major damage, and in turn mesmers are supposed to counter that damage. That is the backbone of guildwars right there. The rest of the professions are equally important, but contribute in ways not always crucial. For instance an interupt ranger can turn the tide of a battle. But thats only because they are striking at the heart of the damage or healing. If you had a bunch of interupt rangers fight each other, the battle would be...amusing. To take away a huge majority of the backbone for the simple ideal of realism, is pointless and goes against the structure of an rpg of any kind. This isnt a flight simulator, it's guild wars.

Farming is legit. I actually find farming boring, so I dont do it. But really, whats so wrong about someone going out and killing a bunch of griffon with unnatural prowess. You're at the highest power you can be in the game. Your'e a hero who has saved all of tyria...why can't you be expected to do amazing things?

Running is sorta bull but it isnt at the same time. A way to limit that would to make level restrictions. IE have to be above level 15 to get into an area, droks for instance. But at the same time a warrior has to work probably half as hard with henchies as a monk or an ele or any arcanic profession does.

All and all I think the update could be added legitamately. But having some monster all, OH NO HE's CASTING METEOR SHOWER, RUN AWAY! Well, it goes against the idea of structure that this game is all about.

Yours truly,
The new guy.
